Gera Circus was born in 2010 from an idea of Sandro Sassi, its founder and promoter. Over time, the project has become a connector in the contemporary circus world that conceives and creates multidisciplinary shows and performances that are the result of intersections between different artistic experiences.
Within Gera Circus converge artists, performers, musicians who meet, research and generate site-specific projects dedicated to heterogeneous contexts and audiences.
The continuous experimentation with new forms of expression in the field of contemporary circus, the search for hybrid languages – between theater, circus, clowning, live music, sound – makes Gera Circus an extremely fluid and innovative container of proposals.
The continuous comparison on European and international research territories allow its projects to reach wide-ranging themes and geographies.
